New York Oil Heating Insurance Fund (NYOHIF)NYOHIF offers to NYOHA members only: hospitalization, major medical, prescription drug, term life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, New York State Statutory (and enhanced) Short Term Disability, dental, New York State Statutory Workers' Compensation, and Aflac products. Non-union, community-rated clients All community rated health insurance policies remain in effect. Rates remain the same until a policy's annual anniversary date is reached. At that time, new community rates may go into effect based upon corporate filings by various insurance carriers with the New York State Insurance Department. Currently, NYOHIF offers GHI, Healthpass, and Oxford health plans, but medical coverage from any New York State admitted health care provider can be offered due to NYOHIF having a licensed New York State insurance agent on staff.
