FMCSA Delays New Driver Training Rule

FEBRUARY 2, 2017 - The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has delayed the effective date of a new rule establishing national truck driver training standards. The notice was published Feb. 1 and officially delays the effective date of the Minimum Training Requirements for Entry-Level Commercial Vehicle Operations to March 21, 2017. The rule was originally published on Dec. 8, 2016 and scheduled to take effect on Feb. 6, 2017.
