Proper Airflow Means Proper Heating

- 10:25 am - July 11th, 2017

Airflow is crucial to the proper function of your furnace. The heat exchanger within the furnace transfers heat to the air traveling over it. When there is insufficient airflow, the heat isn’t properly dispersed, which can damage the heat exchanger and, ultimately, your furnace. It isn’t uncommon for homeowners to accidentally inhibit airflow by:

  • Neglecting to change the filter, which can become covered in dirt and debris.
  • Closing air supply vents.
  • Blocking vents with drapes, furniture and dust.

The above examples are easily prevented and can reduce the need for costly service calls. If your system does breakdown, call your local NYOHA dealer to get your heat up and running again.
